Blog Post for I was a rat

          I've read a book named I was a rat!. It was written by Philip Pullman. The book is 173 pages long. the main character's name is Roger. that's the name Bob and Joan call him because they never had a child and they want one. If they had a son they would named him Roger. It's a very interesting book and pretty funny. This story is about a boy who was a rat then turned into a boy.One night, a boy knocks on the door of Bob and Joan. Bob go outside and saw a boy in a page boy’s uniform. He asked the boy many questions but the only thing he can say was “I was a rat”. Then Bob take him in, wash his face and give him some bread, milk a spoon but he just put his face into the bowl of milk and bread and eat it like a rat. But Bob stopped him and teach him how to use a spoon. Joan made a bed for the boy and had a conversation with Bob about the kid and they decide to call him Roger. The next morning, they take Roger to the orphanage, the hospital, the police station but nobody wants him. So they want to keep him and put him into school. Roger made mistakes and made Bob have to pay a lot of money. Then he gets lost and some people want him to work for them but he ran away. Then some people saw him in the dark and get him for scientist. Although he looks like a human but they described him as a horrible monster that is aggressive, ugly and savage so everybody wants to kill him. But the princess of the country saved him because she wish him to become a human and she to become a princess when she worked in a kitchen and is very close to him. After that, Roger live with Bob and Joan and he became a good boy. This is a very good book that tell about love between people and maybe you should read it.
