The book I've read is called The Scarecrow and His Servant. The book starts when an old man-the owner of Spring Valley made a scarecrow. He put a letter inside the scarecrow saying that this valley will belong to the scarecrow when he the man is dead because he believe that scarecrows live like humans and because if his brothers own this valley they'll destroy it and make some sugar factories. After that, many farmers move the scarecrow form-place-to-place because they're so lazy to make one themselves so the scarecrow get to a very far place from Spring Valley. Then one night, when he was in a field that just have mud in it, a lightning struck him and he came alive while there's a boy who lost his parents and his house is sleeping in a warehouse near there. In the morning when the boy wake up,he hear the scarecrow calling for help. Then after Jack-the boy get the scarecrow from the muddy field, he agreed to be the scarecrow's servant. The scarecrow say that the boy have to help him travel back to Spring Valley. After helping people, scaring people, animals, thieves, the scarecrow's brain(a green pea), join the army and fight enemies, getting stuck in a island, meet the bird king, the scarecrow and Jack manage to get to the scarecrow's homeland-Spring Valley. Then there's a court which decide the scarecrow or the Buffalonis brothers will be the owner of Spring Valley and the Scarecrow won because of the letter that the last owner of the Valley left inside his body. Then the scarecrow, Jack and every body in Spring Valley live happily ever after.
